Some of you who are new to my blog may not know that my husband, Jeff, was diagnosed 21 years ago with Type 1 Diabetes. My son, Spencer, was diagnosed with the same chronic disease 6 years ago when he was only 4.
Our family raises money for research every year. We try really hard to also raise awareness about this dumb disease. I just got this video emailed to me from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The video is so plain and blunt and had me bawling at the computer. I will bug you in June to donate money to this foundation, as my annual fundraiser takes place, but I am also urging you now. If you can donate $5.00, then do it. If it's not possible for you to donate now keep this foundation in the back of your mind so that you can later. Or please pass the message on to family & friends, every little bit counts.
